A method of controlling a back light unit is provided to assembly a modular LED(Light Emitting Diode) unit on a base substrate to locally replace a defective LED unit rapidly and independently control the luminance of each LED unit to achieve luminance uniformity. A method of controlling a back light unit includes a step of dividing a base substrate on which LED units are assembled in a module into regions(200), a step of sensing the luminance of each of the divided regions(210), a step of detecting a difference between the sensed luminance of a reference luminance(220) and set standard luminance, and a step of controlling the luminance difference to obtain uniform luminance over the entire LED unit module. |
