An expansion joint apparatus is provided to fasten an upper plate stably by modifying a key of a lower plate into wedge type, to cope with earthquake or external force by longitudinally and laterally moving a finger part of the upper plate, and to prevent secondary damage by promptly replacing a damaged rubber plate. An expansion joint apparatus includes finger type upper plates(310a,310b) stepped and combined with key parts of lower plates(320a,320b), the lower plate installed in a lower part of the upper plate to support and fix the upper plate and provided with a groove contacted to an end of a rear plate of the finger part of the upper plate, the key part with a projection for flowing rainwater and distributing load and a horizontal plane vertically extended in the key part to support the upper plate, a bolt(331) fixing the upper plate in the lower plate by penetrating the upper plate and the lower plate, an anchor bolt(340) vertically installed or inclined to fix the lower plate in concrete and to adjust height, and a rubber plate(350) installed to the horizontal plane of the lower plate to collect rainwater and foreign matters in a gap of the finger part of the upper plate. Fingers of the upper plates are horizontally and vertically moved with empty spaces. |
