An aripiprazole formulation is provided which includes the antipsychotic agent aripiprazole in the form of an inclusion complex in a b-cyclodextrin, preferably, sulfobutyl ether b-cyclodextrin (SBECD), or b-cyclodextrin hydroxipropyl and phar¬ma¬ceutical compound of said inclusion, which preferably has the form of an injectable compound; the use of said pharmaceutical compound does not cause irritation at the intramuscular injection site.
