A plasma display device and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent the low grayscale expression performance from being reduced in adding input data by a gain according to a set condition. A driving method of a plasma display device having plural discharge cells and driving one frame according to a plurality of sub fields includes steps of: setting a gain for a plurality of input data correspondent to the discharge cells, respectively; comparing the input data with critical grayscale; directly outputting a first data below the critical grayscale; outputting a third data by multiplying a second data higher than the critical grayscale by a gain; and adding offset grayscale to the third data.
