发明名称 METHOD FOR PREDICTING MORPHOLOGICAL ALTERATIONS IN LARGE ARTERIES
摘要 FIELD: medicine, forensic medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with predicting morphological alterations in the walls of large arteries. One should detect a stiffness index (SI) according to characteristics of neutralized volumetric pulse curve registered upon a finger due to photoplethysmographic technique. Moreover, pulse wave should be registered after sublingual intake of 500 mcg nitroglycerin. As a value for elastic component of arterial stiffness one should taken into account a minimal SI value (SImin) BP of 4 neutralized volumetric pulse curves that corresponds to maximal arterial dilation. Then it is necessary to calculate the thickness of intima-media complex (TIM) in middle segments of general carotid arteries by the following formula: TIM=0.0484xSImin+0.3135, where TIM - thickness of intima-media complex (mm); SImin - minimal SI value out of 4 volumetric pulse curves obtained after intake of nitroglycerin (m/sec). The innovation enables to elaborate quantitative criteria for detecting morphological alteration in large arteries due to photoplethysmography. ^ EFFECT: higher accuracy of diagnostics. ^ 2 ex
