FIELD: mechanical engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: face seal comprises working wheel that is provided with driving and driven disks and is mounted in the housing and two contact rings. One of the rings is secured inside the housing, and the other one is movable and is mounted in the ring groove made in the driven disk. The movable ring has radial grooves that are provided with sloping surface and that receive metallic balls.
