A plasma display device is provided to reduce driving voltage and improve driving efficiency by effectively applying sustain pulse to scan and sustain electrodes during a sustain period. A plasma display device for starting discharging by applying pulse to X electrodes(X), Y electrodes(Y), and Z electrodes(Z) according to reset, address, and sustain periods and maintaining discharging by applying voltage pulse includes a Y electrode driving unit for repeatedly applying positive voltage pulse(Vs/2), ground voltage pulse, and negative voltage pulse(-Vs/2) to the Y electrodes during the sustain period and applying positive auxiliary voltage pulse before applying the negative voltage pulse; and a Z electrode driving unit for repeatedly applying the positive voltage pulse, ground voltage pulse, and negative voltage pulse to the Z electrodes during the sustain period and applying positive auxiliary voltage pulse before applying the negative voltage pulse.
