<p>An oxygen absorber which has a high oxygen-absorbing ability without necessitating the addition thereto of a transition metal salt serving as a catalyst for heightening an oxygen-absorbing ability and which retains high mechanical strength even after oxygen absorption. The oxygen absorber contains as an active ingredient a product of the cyclization of a conjugated diene polymer. The cyclization product preferably has a percentage decrease in unsaturated-bond amount of 10% or higher and a weight-average molecular weight of 1,000 to 1,000,000. The oxygen absorber may further contain a thermoplastic resin. The oxygen absorber preferably has an antioxidant content of 500 ppm or lower. The absorber may be in the form of a film, sheet, or powder.</p> |
