<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of efficiently charging an electric double layer capacitor. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a chargeable storage battery (storage part 232) using the electric double layer capacitor, a charge means (charge part 231) for charging the storage battery, a heating means (heating part 24) for generating heat by power supply from the storage battery, a fixing means (fixing part 25) for fixing a toner image formed on a recording medium by the heating means, a fixing temperature detection means (temperature detection part 26) for detecting temperature of the fixing means and a charge control means (control part) for controlling charged voltage of the charge means based on the detected temperature of the fixing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
