OPTICAL GLASS ELEMENT FORMING DIE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical glass forming die excellent in a degree of asphericity and capable of mass-producing optical glass elements of the order of several tens of thousands by using the same molding die in order to inexpensively provide small-sized high-accuracy optical glass elements used in e.g. high-pixel cameras.

SOLUTION: The forming die for an optical glass element such as an aspherical glass lens is constituted from an Si-SiC composite material obtained by impregnating an SiC base material of a bulk density of 3.12 g/cm3or lower with molten Si.
