<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily reduce running cost without requiring a large-scale system by improving treatment capacity in biological digestion of surplus sludge. <P>SOLUTION: A sludge treatment apparatus for biologically digesting sludge generated in a wastewater treatment process purifying organic wastewater by biological treatment comprises a solubilization tank 2 for solubilizing the sludge by feeding an alkali solution to the sludge, an alkaline digestion tank 3 for aerobically digesting the solubilized sludge by alkalophilic microorganisms, a neutralization tank 5 for anaerobically digesting the alkaline digested sludge by the alkalophilic microorganisms to neutralize the sludge by acid fermentation carried by the alkalophilic microorganisms, and a neutral digestion tank 6 for aerobically digesting the neutral sludge with microorganisms. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
