PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote monitoring/restoration system that enables a remote support side to analyze problems occurring at end users' devices and to restore the devices. SOLUTION: In a system comprising a support host PCh1 connected to a network n1 and a monitored system u1 connected to the network n1, the monitored system u1 comprises devices ud1, ud2 to be monitored/supported and an interface device us4 connected between the devices and the network n1 for sending and receiving data between the devices and the monitoring host PCh1 via the network n1. The interface device us4 is provided with a device/log process part us2 that directly communicates with the devices by connecting with the devices ud1, ud2 in the manner of a serial interface without the intervention of a device interface part us1 that controls connections to the devices.
