PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document processing device, method and program which can prepare a document file capable of reducing the burden of a document processing. SOLUTION: This document processor is provided with: a region extraction part 20 for extracting a text document region and a non-text document region included in a document file; an in-region group analyzing part 42 for extracting one or more partial images included in the non-text document region extracted by the region extraction part 20; a functionization processing part 44 for extracting featured values by operating functionization approximation processing to the partial image extracted by the in-region group analyzing part 42; and a document file storage part 50 for storing the text information corresponding to the text document region and the featured values extracted by the functionization processing part 44.
