PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive image forming apparatus having an auxiliary power supply whose service life is long while shortening time for raising temperature of a fixing part to a fixable temperature. SOLUTION: When drive of a fixing heater 30 is started, a third fixing heater 26 driven by power of an external power supply 2 and a first fixing heater 17 driven by power of an electric double layer capacitor 18 are driven first and drive of a second fixing heater 21 driven by power from a lithium ion battery 23 is started when the temperature rises to the one at which current flowing to the second fixing heater 21 becomes rated current by radiant heat of the first fixing heater 17 and the third fixing heater 26, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
