The machine tool has a work chamber (14) with work spindle (10) and suction device. An air guide cylinder (22) surrounds the work spindle, air supply opening and air guide blades (20) substantially axially parallel whereby the end of the cylinder upstream closes off the air supply opening and blades from the work chamber whilst the downstream end of the cylinder opens into the work chamber. A ring gap (18) is formed between the outer perimeter of the spindle and the inner edge of a circular aperture in the wall (12) defining the work chamber through which the spindle is guided into the chamber.
