A quantum dot-polymer mixture particle is provided to be able to optically diagnose and image cancer through active and inactive target method by comprising a biocompatible polymer derivative having a first functional group able to be combined with a bio-tissue or a cell and a second functional group able to be combined with chemical materials, and the quantum dot-polymer mixture particle having a third functional group able to be combined with the second functional group. The biocompatible polymer derivative is characterized in that a first functional group able to be specifically combined with a bio-tissue or a cell and a second functional group selected from the group consisting of one of a pair capable of a receptor-ligand reaction, one of antigen-antibody pair, one of nucleotide double strand of a complimentary sequence. In the biocompatible polymer derivative, the first functional group is a ligand or a vascular connective peptide. The quantum dot-polymer mixture comprises the biocompatible polymer derivative and a quantum dot where a third functional group selected from the group consisting of one of a pair capable of a receptor-ligand reaction, one of antigen-antibody pair, and one of nucleotide double strand of a complimentary sequence and capable of being combined with the second functional group through the receptor-ligand reaction, antigen-antibody reaction or complimentary hybridization is combined.
