SURFACE LIGHT SOURCE DEVICE, IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE USING IT AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light source device where an antireflection structure formed on a light emission surface of a light guide plate is hardly collapsed.

SOLUTION: A both-sided display device 101 is composed of this surface light source device 103 and a liquid crystal panel 102, and the surface light source device 103 and the liquid crystal panel 102 are so arranged as to face each other. The surface light source device 103 is composed of a small point light source 111 and the light guide plate 112. An antireflection surface 128 with a projection-like antireflection structure 126 for preventing reflection formed thereon is formed in a part of the light emission surface 125 of the light guide plate 112 facing the liquid crystal panel 102. In addition, the antireflection surface 128 is so recessed as to set top parts of the antireflection structure 126 to be lower than the light emission surface 125 around it.
