<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft magnetic steel having excellent alternating current magnetic properties and high deformability. <P>SOLUTION: The soft magnetic steel has a composition containing, by mass, ≤0.015% C, 0.005 to 0.30% Si, 0.1 to 0.5% Mn, ≤0.02% P, ≤0.02% S, 0.01 to 2.0% Cr, >0.010 to 1.3% Al, ≤0.010% N and ≤0.020% O (oxygen), and the balance Fe with impurities, and satisfies inequality (1), 0.85≤0.8-0.57C+0.82Si+0.07Mn+0.78P-3.56S+0.3Cr+0.82Al-1.0N≤2.0, wherein each symbol in the inequality denotes the content (mass%) of each element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
