<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for increasing the efficiency of counter work by reducing the time required for counter transactions. <P>SOLUTION: This identification system includes a customer receiving terminal, a customer information server, a counter terminal, and a reception management server. The customer receiving terminal compares registered biometric information received from the customer information server with biometric information obtained from a customer and performs identification. When the biometric information matches the registered biometric information, a reception number is collected and a reception number ticket is issued. A face image of the customer photographed and the customer's reception number are sent to the reception management server and stored in association with each other.
