<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus capable of more simply and efficiently detecting an object in a low misdetection state by constituting a plurality of images obtained by photographing the same object as a plurality of detection processes in the detection of the object in the images and effectively utilizing relation of these images. <P>SOLUTION: The object detection method and apparatus include a first detection process for detecting a first image, a second detection area setting process for setting a detection area of a second image, a second detection process for detecting the detection area, and a determination process for determining object detection on the basis of the detection results of the first and second detection processes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
