<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for making a pants-type diaper for upbringing to be satisfactory in function and outer appearance by extremely correctly folding a front half part and a rear half part and overlapping the parts. <P>SOLUTION: A planar blank is supplied to a first suction type wheel which is continuously rotated. The middle part of the blank on a first conveyor is fastened and folded into a U shape by a folding member. While the front half part is separated from the first wheel by a second suction type wheel which is continuously rotated, the rear half part of the blank on the first conveyor is held and the front half part is transferred to a third suction type wheel which is continuously rotated. While the rear half part is moved forward on the first wheel, the engagement of the folding member with the blank is released so as to overlap the front half part of the blank on the rear half part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
