<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medium for inkjet recording which has a high ink absorbency and excels in the state of a coating surface. <P>SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of the medium for inkjet recording having an ink accepting layer on a substrate, a coating solution for the ink accepting layer which contains particulates, a cationic polymer, a water-soluble resin and an organic solvent having a boiling point of 230°C or above is applied/dried on the substrate to form the medium.
