<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device for a vehicle capable of suppressing steering overshoot not intended by a driver, a displacement amount of a steering wheel and deviation of a track of the vehicle to the minimum degree in the transition state until it transferred from the detection of abnormality of a reaction force actuator to a backup mode. <P>SOLUTION: The steering device for the vehicle is provided with a reaction force actuator abnormality detection means for detecting abnormality of a reaction force motor (step S32). A steering control means executes retaining steering control for retaining control command (steering motor instruction angle) to a steering motor to a constant value (step S15) during when it is determined as abnormality after the reaction force actuator abnormality detection means detects abnormality, and executes connection time steering control corresponding to the steering state for stopping the retaining steering control when an operation direction of a steering and a steering direction of the steering wheel are in an opposite direction (step S9). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
