<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data distribution method capable of efficiently distributing data with less load on a center apparatus, and preventing increasing the load on a specific terminal device. <P>SOLUTION: A distribution center 1 distributes musical data or the like by using any one of a plurality of karaoke devices as a master terminal. The karaoke devices (slave terminals) other than the master terminal are (virtually) arranged in a line with the master terminal as a head. The musical data or the like are transferred sequentially from the master terminal in a relay system. The slave terminals, having received the data transfer, each transmits a message of distribution completion to the master terminal.
