PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect optical fibers from ovipositors of cicadas and to reduce a surface area against lateral wind as much as possible to reduce an influence of wind pressure (oscillations). SOLUTION: In an optical fiber drop cable 1, a long-sized optical element part 9 comprises at least a pair of tensile strength members 5 disposed in parallel in positions approximately symmetrical with respect to the center of the optical element part 9, a single optical fiber or a plurality of optical fibers 3 disposed in a middle part between the pair of tensile strength members 5, and an optical element sheath 7 coating outer circumferences of the optical fibers and the pair of tensile strength members 5. The optical fiber drop cable 1 has a long-sized cable support line part 17 having a support line 13 coated with a support line sheath 15. A first plane 11 passing the pair of tensile strength members 5 and the optical fiber 3 in the optical element part 9 and a second plane passing the middle position between the pair of tensile strength members 5 and the support line 13 are perpendicular to each other, and the cable support line part 17 and the optical element part 9 are intermittently coupled by intermittent fixing parts 21 or 23.
