The gauge (25) has a first end (27) designed to correspond with the bolt (4) so that it can be arranged on the lock fitment (2) in place of the bolt, and has a second end (28) which can interact with a locking member (3) in place of the bolt. The two ends are spaced from one another by an assembly distance (M) based on an intermediate member (29) of the gauge. A cross arm (37) extending from the intermediate member forms a dismantling tool (38) for the lock fitment. The gauge can be made from plastics or a fibre-glass reinforced plastics. The first fixing end of the gauge can also be formed as a screw driver.
