<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device and system capable of reducing the power consumption against variations in external factors such as a process parameter and temperature or the like by making an arithmetic speed constant. <P>SOLUTION: The semiconductor device includes: a power supply circuit PW for externally receiving an external power supply voltage VEX and outputting an internal power supply voltage VIN equal to or less than the external power supply voltage; system modules SM1, SM2 for receiving the internal power supply voltage to carry out prescribed arithmetic operations; and a performance monitor circuit PM that measures an arithmetic speed of the system modules when receiving the internal power supply voltage, and outputs a first control signal RQ for externally requesting setting of the external power supply voltage to a first level and second control signals CTL, VG for externally requesting setting of the second level of internal power supply voltage to the power supply circuit on the basis of the arithmetic speed, and the power supply circuit outputs the internal power supply voltage with the second level on the basis of the received second control signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
