摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent device and an excellent method for analyzing powder behavior by which the behavior of developer in an electrophotographic process including respective processes of development and transfer or the like is suitably analyzed, and the powder behavior of the developer in a stirring part in the development process where toner is electrified while keeping appropriate toner concentration by supplying new toner as much as an amount of consumption is suitably calculated by simulation by applying a fluid analysis method, and to provide a computer program. <P>SOLUTION: When analyzing the change of the toner concentration in the stirring part, a particle behavior analysis model by a distinct element method equivalent to one cycle of an auger is formed, and particle behavior is calculated by filling with particles equivalent to carrier, arranging predetermined amount of toner on an upstream side in a developer conveying direction, and rotating the auger for a predetermined time. The ratio of the number of particles of the toner and the carrier in predetermined width in the developer conveying direction is set as the toner concentration, and a diffusion coefficient is calculated from the change of the toner concentration in the developer conveying direction. Then, the fluid analysis model of the entire stirring part is formed to analyze the change of the toner concentration by using the diffusion coefficient obtained from the particle behavior analysis by the distinct element method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
