ELECTRIC APPARATUS, AND CHARGING METHOD AND PROGRAM THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric apparatus that can protect an internal constituent without using a high-priced component in particular, even if charging is started without installing a secondary battery by mistake. SOLUTION: A sub-machine of a household master telephone set detachably holds a battery. The sub-machine comprises a battery holder that charges the battery by power fed from the outside; a Zener diode that prevents an overvoltage of an electric circuit in the sub-machine by power fed from the outside; a battery voltmeter that measures an inter-terminal voltage at the position of a terminal for battery charging in the battery holder; and a control unit that determines whether the inter-terminal voltage is higher that a prescribed value than is set in advance for protecting the electric circuit in the sub-machine, and operates the electric circuit when it is determined that the inter-terminal voltage is higher than the prescribed value. By this, even if charging is started without installing the battery by mistake, the control unit can operate the electric circuit since the inter-terminal voltage is higher than the prescribed voltage.
