PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely perform internal pressure inspection for a bottle can with the content charged in such a state that a cap is threadably attached to a base part for sealing. SOLUTION: This internal pressure inspection method includes steps of putting the bottle can 26 in an upright attitude so as to form a space 25a inside the base part 26d side after retort-sterilizing the content filled in the bottle can 26 in such the state that the cap 27 is threadably attached to the base part 26d for sealing, forcibly exciting a top plate part 27a of the cap 27, and inspecting an internal pressure of the bottle can 26 based on an echo sound from the top plate part 27a at the excitation. Before forcibly exciting the top plate part 27a, it is urged or tapped downwardly in the axis direction of the can, and thus at least the location of the cap 27 for the base part 26d or the deformation of the top plate part 27a is corrected.
