PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation method of the influence degree of a damper due to a fire for evaluating the influence degree of the damper due to the fire by accurately grasping the lowering degree of the capacity of the damper caused by the fire, and a damper evaluating member. SOLUTION: The damper evaluating member 10, which is equipped with the steel sheet 2 of the damper 1, an evaluation steel sheet same or similar to a viscous member and a laminated structure comprising an evaluation viscous member, is installed at a position becoming thermal hysteresis almost same to that received by the damper 1 at the time of the fire and, after the fire, the influence degree of the fire on the damper 1 is evaluated by the damper evaluating member 10.
