PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer which can print a color image to a curved surface printing face by using color image data. SOLUTION: In the case of printing the color image to the curved surface printing face 22, ink liquid droplets of a predetermined color are jetted from one selected sub head 15 arranged in an inkjet head by using a predetermined color printing means 70 at the printer side. At the same time, jetting of ink liquid droplets from sub heads 11, 13 and 17 arranged in the inkjet head other than that is stopped. The image of the predetermined color is printed to the curved surface printing face 22 of a medium by the ink liquid droplets jetted from the one sub head 15. Thereafter, the medium 20 finished in printing of the image of the predetermined color to the curved surface printing face 22 is home position returned to its starting position of image printing by using a returning means 80. This operation is carried out sequentially for each of the plurality of sub heads 11, 13, 15 and 17 arranged in the inkjet head. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
