PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid trouble caused by cutting remaining papers after the final ticket issuing processing by a cutter and discarding them when the remaining amount of the papers positioned in a printing apparatus comes to an end because the rolled paper in use reaches a condition of "the paper near its end" during progress of ticket issuing. SOLUTION: A printing/cutting unit 3 successively practicing the ticket issuing processing consisting of respective processings of printing, cutting and discharging to a paper delivered from the rolled papers P1 and P2, and a controlling means 50 are provided. The printing/cutting unit is equipped with an inlet sensors S1 and S2 for detecting the existence/absence of the paper on the upstream side of a printing part 20. The controlling means judges "the paper near its end" when the inlet sensors detect the terminal part of the paper entering and passing through the printing/cutting unit, and just thereafter or after at least one ticketing is practiced, such a control that the terminal part of the paper is projected by a specified length to the outside from the inlet and then stopped, is performed.
