PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball polishing and pumping apparatus made to show the condition of balls in the apparatus by indicating the presence/absence of the balls pumped in a ball passage. SOLUTION: The ball polishing and pumping apparatus is provided with sensors 50 for detecting the presence/absence of passing balls of ball lines pumped along the ball passages 35, a detection signal from the sensor 50 is input into a control circuit as a drive control means for controlling the drive of the pumping apparatus, and the frequency per unit time of the detection signal from the sensor 50 is indicated at a value indicator connected to the control circuit, so that the conditions of the ball lines in the ball passages 35 are understood from the detection signals of the sensors 50 and whether an appropriate pumping capability is held or not is understood.
