An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce the number of the LOG(Line On Glass) type of signal transmission lines. An LCD panel(201) includes two glass substrates(201a,201b) and a liquid layer formed between the two glass substrates. Plural gate drive IC(Integrated Circuit)s(288) drive the gate lines(GL). Plural data drive ICs(277) drive the data lines(DL). A timing controller(252) controls the drive timing of the gate and data drive ICs. A DC-DC converter(253) generates the voltage to be supplied to the LCD panel. The timing controller and DC-DC converter are mounted to a PCB(Printed Circuit Board)(202). Plural gate TCP(Tape Carrier Package)s(211) are connected to the LCD panel. |
