<p>A lighting control device of a portable information apparatus is provided to reduce power consumption and maximize visibility by adjusting illumination brightness of a liquid crystal and a keypad according to ambient brightness by using an optical sensing unit of an information input device. A light collecting unit(300) collects light inputted from the exterior and forms an image. A light receiving module unit(310) senses and converts analog images collected by the light collecting unit(300) into digital images. A calculating unit(320) receives the digital images from the light receiving module unit(310). A light emission differential data calculating unit(330) receives light quantity collecting time from a light quantity collecting time calculating unit to obtain light emission differential data of a liquid crystal display background illumination unit and a key pad background illumination unit. A background illumination brightness controlling unit(340) receives the light emission differential data to adjust background illumination brightness so that the liquid crystal display background illumination unit and the key pad background illumination unit emit the light.</p> |
