A mobile terminal having a blood sugar level measurement function and its operation method are provided to sense a blood sugar level by using the density of a fluorescent material generated through grape sugar included in secretion. A memory(50) stores blood sugar level measurement data. A sensing unit(20) senses light that transmits through a fluorescent material generated in reaction with secretion. A controller(10) measures a blood sugar level through wavelength of the sensed light and outputs the measured blood sugar level data on a screen.
