<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device that can prevent transposition caused by the blanking of original data when applying an overlay. <P>SOLUTION: If an overlay is printed as a background, it is determined whether a rendering instruction includes blanking, then it is determined whether blanking, if any, is intentional blanking, and if the blanking is not intentional, it is ignored.
