<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus and program in which a burden of a user is reduced and setting information can be confirmed easily to comprehend within a shorter time. <P>SOLUTION: When an output of information is instructed to a setting item determined in accordance with various functions (S1), initial information for the setting item is collated with modified setting information for the setting item, setting information different from the initial information is generated as information for the setting item (S2), and the generated information for the setting item is outputted in voice (S3). Thus, when the user wants to confirm information for a setting item concerning an information processing apparatus with extremely many setting items, a part different from the initial information is outputted instead of outputting all the setting information, most of such a part is set by the user and considered as a part most wanted to confirm by the user.
