PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means which can simply and surely remove the air that enters a guide part for guiding ink out of an ink supply port of an ink cartridge, without discarding the ink in an inkjet recorder to which the ink cartridge is set removably. SOLUTION: A complex machine 1 is equipped with the ink cartridge 40 which supplies the ink from an ink chamber 11, a cartridge mounting part 6 which removably holds the ink cartridge 40, a controlling part 64 which detects that the ink cartridge 40 is mounted in the cartridge mounting part 6, a scanning carriage 38 carrying an inkjet recording head 39, an ink tube 41 which enables the ink to circulate between the ink cartridge 40 and the scanning carriage 38, and a bidirectional pump 7 which can feed the ink that circulates in the ink tube 41 in two directions. When mounting of the ink cartridge 40 is detected, the bidirectional pump 7 is driven to feed the ink of a predetermined amount to the ink chamber 11 side. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
