PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for imparting shear, capable of obtaining a shear imparted mold body with proper yield and almost in uniform state, using a molding material. SOLUTION: A material path 15 of a shear-imparting device A, where the molding material 25 is moved by pressurizing a pressurizing punch 23 to form the shear imparted mold body 27, is configured by a material-supplying path 13 and a material-extruding path 14 that is communicated with the path 13 at an angle of 90°. A cross-section, where a moving direction of the material 25 intersects the path 13 and the path 14, is formed into a rectangle where the length along a ridgeline 16a of a corner 16, met by the path 13 and the path 14, is larger than the length in a direction which intersects the ridgeline 16a. In addition, the mold body is designed so as not to advance over the position of the ridgeline 16a of the corner 16, by providing a stopper at a backpressure punch 24.
