PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quicken response speed, to improve animation characteristics and to improve tone visual characteristics. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device having a liquid crystal panel (101) including a plurality of gate lines for selecting pixels and a plurality of data lines for supplying pixel data and data drivers (103, 104) which divides one frame into a plurality of fields, converts frame data into field data and supplies the field data to the data lines is provided. In the last field among the plurality of fields, first constant voltage is applied to the data lines when the frame data are present from the minimum tone value to a first tone value. In the head field among the plurality of fields, second constant voltage higher than the first constant voltage is applied to the data lines when the frame data are present from a second tone value to the maximum tone value.
