An anode structure for a lead-acid storage battery consists of : Sb 4.5-12.5 per cent; As 0.2-2.5 per cent; Pb, the remainder. It is preferred that 54 times the As content plus 0.25 per cent is not less than 3.9 times the Sb content. Preferred compositions fall within the shaded area of the drawing. Sn 0.15-0.5 per cent may be added to the alloy to promote fluidity in casting. |
