摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for machining an aspheric surface capable of quickly grinding and cutting a considerably uneven workpiece with high quality through the use of a conventional aspheric surface machining device in a simple control method, and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: A workpiece 208 to be machined rotating around the rotation axis as the center and a rotary tool 214 relatively movable with the workpiece in the same direction as the rotary axis of the workpiece and in the direction orthogonal to the rotary axis of the workpiece are provided. The rotary tool moves in a constant direction with a predetermined feed pitch over a partial or entire region from the center of the rotary axis of the workpiece to the outer periphery of the workpiece in the direction orthogonal to the rotary axis of the workpiece for machining the workpiece into a non-axisymmetrical aspheric surface.
