A gasification equipment provided with a gasification furnace (23) for fuel gas production is provided. A hybrid power generation equipment (25), which generates electric power by rotating a gas turbine using a steam turbine in combination with a fuel gas produced in the gasification equipment, is provided. The hybrid power generation equipment (25) is constructed so that it can be operated while switching between a fuel gas and an auxiliary fuel can be carried out for use as the fuel. A control system is provided in which, in switching from the fuel gas to the auxiliary fuel, the degree of opening of a control valve (37) for a flare stack (28) provided in a fuel gas feed line is controlled depending upon the pressure of the fuel gas from the gasification equipment so as for the fuel gas fed into the hybrid power generation equipment (25) to be allowed to gradually flare from a flare stack (28) to the entirely flared state.
