<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise the matching rate of a keyword set by a user for retrieval in keyword retrieval. <P>SOLUTION: When the retrieval processing of image file stored in a memory card is selected by a user in a printer, all keywords conformed to image files stored in the memory card are read, and corresponding icons when they are keywords registered in the printer or alternate icons when they are not registered in the printer are selectably displayed (S120-S170). Each keyword is acquired from metadata of the image files. When a displayed icon is selected by the user as a retrieval icon (S210), and retrieval is instructed (S240), a file matched to a set retrieval condition is retrieved (S250).
