<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive unit capable of attaining an optimum start operation even with a change of a load element of a motor. <P>SOLUTION: The motor unit 3 includes an electric current detector 9 for detecting an electric current flowing on a stator winding of the motor 4, an electric current control unit 12 for creating a voltage command value V* from an electric current error between an electric current command value I* and a detected electric current value, and a start pattern selector 16 for selecting at least one of the start patterns among two or more of the predetermined start patterns. By the start pattern selector, the start pattern is selected so that an elapsed time becomes minimum between the time when the electric current value upon starting the motor becomes maximum and the time when the electric current value at the motor starting converges to a value in a normal operation. Thus, the optimum start operation can be attained even with a change of the load element of the motor, and reliability of the start operation can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
