<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column capable of separating monovalent and bivalent cation ions in a balanced manner in a short time, without requiring special eluents or high-concentration eluents. <P>SOLUTION: In the column for cation analysis ion chromatography, quotient of retention times of ammonium, sodium and calcium that are expressed by formula (I) and elute, when the acid concentration of the eluent is 0.5-5.0 mM is 0.05 or higher. Preferably, cation exchanger, thermally treated at degree of vacuum 700-760 mmHg and temperature 70-120°C for 5-150 hours, is filled. Formula (I) is TNH<SB>4</SB>/TNa/TCa. In the Formula (I), TNH<SB>4</SB>is a retention time of ammonium, TNa is the retention time of sodium, TCa is the retention time of one of calcium and magnesium of which elution is slower. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
