<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branch pipe renewing technique for further surely preventing the leakage of fluid from a branch pipe. <P>SOLUTION: The branch pipe renewing technique comprises a preparing step of mounting a temporary external fitting member 4 on the branch pipe 2 and connecting a temporary partition valve 5 and a drilling device 6 to a branch port portion 4b of the temporary external fitting member 4, a drilling step of using the drilling device 6 for drilling the branch pipe 2, a closing step of using an inserting device 9 connected to the temporary partition valve 5 in place of the drilling device 6 for inserting a closing tool 8 into the branch pipe 2, a dividing step of dividing the branch pipe 2 while leaving the closing tool 8 in the branch pipe 2, a permanent transfer step of mounting a permanent external fitting member 10 and a permanent partition valve 11 on a main pipe 1, and a closing tool withdrawing step of using a collecting device 9 for collecting the closing tool 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
