<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lengthen a recognizable distance of a pulse radar capable of measuring a distance at high resolution. <P>SOLUTION: In the pulse radar system, an AND operation (34) of a gate pulse (30) and a PN signal (32) is used as a gate control signal for opening and closing transmission and receiving waves. The delayed time of a delay device 18 that a filter output (20) of the receiving wave is a maximum, and then, in a correlator (40), a phase difference in a sign is determined by performing a correlation between the PN signal (32) and a PN signal component (36) in the receiving wave.
